One night definitely not enough! We loved Rye and will have to come again for a longer stay. The flat is perfectly situated; extremely comfortable and well looked after.
The nightlife is good, if a little too good!
Saturday night we had a delicious fresh plaice in a pub around from the Mermaid, think it was The Borough Arms. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.,

Im here for one full month lucky me!! So far, having a great time, lovely to see Rye & old friends again. The apartment is clean & the water pressure for shower is amazing its normally awful in rentals.
Anne is a wonderful housekeeper leaves everything wonderful.
Hamdens in Rye great for breakfast & lunch. Fish Café good but a bit expensive. Had a good curry from The Spice Place on main st and good pub grub at the Royal Oak & other locals.
Plan on returning every year. Thanks so much for making my stay so comfortable. Ill be leaving on Sat and Im sad to go. Sitting here sipping tea & watching the boats sail by Im reminded we are all like ships in the wind. Who knows what next year will bring. Anyway, come what may if all is well, I hope to return to No 1 Boathouse next year.
Thanks again and thank you Anne for all your hard work.

Our Eleventh Hour booking was certainly inspired!
Fabulous weather everyday. Rye is a delight. Tenterden is also lovely particularly if you like to browse antiques. Comfortable apartment. Altogether a wonderful week.

As bird-watchers we found Rye Harbour & Dungeness Nature Reserves very interesting. Seeing the kingfisher on posts outside the flat was a bonus (every day!)

Our first visit to Rye we came down for a friends wedding and what a lovely time weve had! Days filled with Art, Culture and Gardens, the South East offers such a lot. Hastings Old Town was a revelation with its Net Sheds, gift shops, bars restaurants and the De La Warre Pavilion at Bexhill was breathtaking! Rye has plenty of bars & restaurants for evening entertainment although suffers a little from London Prices. The flat has been a clean, comfortable & well-equipped base from which to explore the area. We hope to visit again.

What a find. Wed stayed in Rye before but decided to do the self-catering this time. A lovely house, great views and with the fine weather early in the week, breakfast on the verandah just put the icing on the cake. If you eat out (but with such a fine setting, why bother?) avoid the Kettle of Fish rarely does a piece of cod taste like a cod-piece!
SI Italian is quite superb, so is the Rainbow Trout at Broad Oak. And for a short trip out, do not miss MERRIMENT GARDENS the best kept gardens we have ever seen.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Rye is a fine little town, with typical English streets and shops. We liked the English custom to form queues/lines in shops, and even on the market. It is very polite and efficient and fair. We visited Sissinghurst gardens, Bodiam Castle, Penshurst Place & Gardens, Great Dixter (Northiam), Hastings, Canterbury by train and also enjoyed very much apartment with its rich scala of facilities. We are very satisfied about apartment, weather, surroundings and the kind people.
